We received this letter from HM Treasury on Monday 22 December 2003. Although it is not from the Chancellor himself, at least he has authorised one of his senior personel to reply. We’re glad to know that someone with intelligence is looking into the matter, but would prefer if he took a more ‘hands-on’ approach with regard to the FSA.
